History: SCC Silesia Chamber of Commerce Ltd. came into existence in 2007 after Poland joined the European Union. It filled the gap which existed in the business environment of Lower Silesia Region. The SCC has become the voice of business, at first in the Lower Silesia Region, then in all territory of Poland and lobbies three levels of government administration (central, regional and local) on matters of concern to specific industry sectors and to the general business community. In a present time, we are cooperating with Asian, African and East European countries.
We are searching for suitable trade and investment partners for our companies using – if needed – the support of financial resources of the European Union. We organized a lot of trade missions, mainly to: China, India, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. We have signed the cooperating agreements in several countries, with e.g. China Economic Development Exchange Association, Misrata Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ajara Chamber of Commerce and Industry and others. We also cooperate with: World Trade Center Mumbai (India), Baku Business Center (Azerbaijan) and Izmir Fair Services Inc. (Turkey) etc. Since 2007 there were over 300 polish companies which had participated in our economic exhibitions and missions. Continuation and farther development on markets beyond the Europe is guaranteed by organizing personnel and experience gained since SCC Ltd. was set up.
The statutory aims of the Silesia Chamber of Commerce LTD are: associating Polish companies with foreign partners; representation of entrepreneurs before the administration organs of the government and the regional administration organs; organization of trade and investment exhibitions; participating in trade fairs and missions (both: domestic and foreign ones); pursuing activities which enable the development of enterprise in modern managerial forms; helping in solving economic, organizational and other problems connected to cooperation with foreign entrepreneurs; developing cooperation between various domains of economy, such as industry and trade; gathering and spreading materials regarding economic cooperation; creating rules of business ethics; spreading attitude which enables the Silesia Chamber of Commerce gaining a rank of a trustworthy partner.
